The 6-6 Green Bay Packers will take on the 4-8 New York Giants on Monday Night Football. One of the biggest questions heading into that game was Aaron Jones’ availability. Today, we got that answer.
The Green Bay Packers Will Officially Be Without Aaron Jones On Monday Night Against The New York Giants
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network:
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) isn’t expected to play tonight against the Giants, per source.
Jones, who is listed as questionable, is working hard to get back. He’s just not ready. So, it’ll be the AJ Dillon show again tonight.
Aaron Jones missed three games with a hamstring injury earlier this season and the last two games with a knee injury he suffered against the Chargers in Week 11.
AJ Dillon Has Been Playing Well As Of Late
AJ Dillon started for the second consecutive game in place of Jones last week against the Kansas City Chiefs. In a 27-19 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, Dillon rushed for 73 yards on 18 carries and also caught one pass for 14 yards.
On the season so far, Dillon has accumulated 719 total yards (521 rushing, 198 receiving). After a sluggish start to the season, Dillon has performed well as of late. If he is able to put out a similar performance against the Giants on Monday Night, the offense should have no issues moving the ball.
